   | Amazon continues to make waves into the future of streaming based web shows that Netflix initially cornered the market on. Set to be released on October 28th Good Girls Revolt is a period piece set in 1969 with three female leads. Patti, Jane, and Cindy all find themselves navigating a work environment where the glass ceiling is still firmly in place. The show will revolve around their sexual revolution as well as the way they were a part of the second wave of feminism started in the early 60s and culminating in the 80s. They work as researchers at the fictional News of the Week and are sure to be surrounded by Don Draperesque leading men. |
The cast is flush with talent. Genevieve Angelson is picking up one of the three central women. She’s primarily known for her roles on House of Lies and True Story. Anna Camp will be playing the traditional bitchy blonde with a character arc she’s done so well within the Pitch Perfect series. Whereas Erin Drake rounds out the group as a relative, but likeable new comer.
Hollywood strong men Jim Belushi, Jon Bryant, and Hunter Parrish also set the cast in varying roles. The eight episode first season will premiere the last Friday of October.
