 | NBC debuted a new hour long dramedy in September entitled This Is Us. I would have blogged about it sooner, but I only recently came upon it during the long stretch of free time that comes with fall break. The show only features two cast members that immediately stood out to me. Milo Ventimigilia, most widely known for his role as bad boy Jess on Gilmore Girls (!). And of course everyone's favorite teen star Mandy Moore who had the bustling music career that folded right around Britney Spear's third album and iconic bitchy cheerleader role in The Princess Diaries. |
This Is Us follows a group of people tied together with the same birthday. Jack and Rebecca (Milo and Mandy) lose a baby in childbirth episode one to really kick off the season. Kevin (Justin Hartley) quits his sitcom role in front of a live studio audience. Randall (Sterling Brown) is looking for his long lost father.
It has all that heart pounding family drama that we've been missing since NBC canceled Parenthood. The critics love it and most importantly your favorite indie blogger loves it more.
