  | Last month Netflix released the third season for their original program Frankie & Grace. It follows two recent divorcees played by Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, who end up sharing a beach house in California after they discover their husbands are leaving them- in order to marry each other. The second season did a better job, then the first in delivering an equal amounts of drama / humor. Grace reunites with her old love. Frankie starts dating a farmer. Their ex husbands get married, talk divorce. Frankie and Grace fight as is only appropriate for a business woman and a hippie forced to cohabitate. Last season ended with the two women's decision to “launch their own business” of “vibrators for geriatric women.” |
The third season promises to deliver the laughter and the heart, that manages to deftly deal with social issues- whether that's alcoholism, homophobia, or aging. A cliff hanger is assured, but Netlfix has already announced it's intentions for a 4th season due out next year sometime.
