Tuesday's are officially no longer a drag! The Logo flagship show RuPaul's Drag Race moves to VH1 for it's ninth season, including a switch to a coveted Friday night time slot. The show has continued to draw larger crowds with each passing season, and Viacom (the parent company of VH1 and Logo) is hoping to capitalize on that by moving Drag Race to one of it's more prominent channels. This is herstory in the making for the drag queen centered reality competition. RuPaul is no stranger to VH1, he hosted a short lived talk show (with Michelle Visage) on VH1 during the 90s. Drag Race along with America's Next Top Model are meant to be critical to the success of the network that's always lived in the shadow of MTV |
