| Summer is coming to a close and it's time for some serious feature films to light up award season and put a damper on our winter months. The Girl On A Train is sure to be the psychological thriller we've been waiting for. It's not to be confused as a remake of the Alfred Hitchcock classic Strangers On A Train. This movie had a quick turn around, it's based off the 2015 bestselling debut novel by Paula Hawkins. It promises to be the Gone Girl of 2016. It's unclear how closely the movie follows the plot of the book. We've got the alcoholic divorcee. A daily train ride. A shocking event. What more do you need for a good time? |  |
The movie boasts an all star line up. Emily Blunt plays the lead. Haley Bennet (most memorable for her scene stealing mark as pop star Cora Corman in Music & Lyrics) stops by. Friends alumn Lisa Kudrow is there. Jennifer Anniston's husband Justin Theroux is init. Laura Prepon and her eyebrows took time off of Orange Is The New Black for this.
The movie will be released October 7th, so that gives you more then enough time to pick up a copy of Paula Hawkins book, catch up, and plan out your calories so you can get a popcorn and a large Coke without gaining weight.
