Miley Cyrus has finally debuted her follow up to Bangerz. The era that defined the “real” Miley Cyrus without the trappings of Hannah Montana. New single “Malibu” may come slightly left field, but anyone watching her progression into a softer image shouldn't be that surprised. The song is more stripped down then previous efforts. Still, Malibu isn't sonically a far cry away from “Adore You”. It seems the natural follow up that Colbie Caillat could use in her arsenal. The song is light breezy and strikingly apolitical. If anything it seems focused on addressing her rekindled love for Liam Hemsworth. |
