Singers have picked their sides. YG put out “FDT” an acronym for “Fuck Donald Trump” and heavy metal band Bruejeria touring under the headline “Fuck Off Donald Trump” in case we didn’t know about their political sentiment. Sheryl Crow said at her concert that she was voting for Neil Young, but certain social media postings to her standalone song “Woman In The White House” suggest she’s more decisive then that. |
Released in 2012 and left off her 2013 country album Feels Like Home, the song harkens back to the political statement she made in the 90s and hasn’t really touched since her 2008 album Detours. The song is simple and straight laced and decisively more subtle then “Fuck Donald Trump”.
Sheryl Crow has recently been back in the studio working with Jeff Trott and Tchad Blake for a follow up. It’s unclear when we’ll hear anything, but an album isn’t expected until sometime in 2017. She also has another all-star guest line up album in the works. She took a page from Frank Ocean's handbook and has two albums planned to murder us. It’s unclear if Hilary Clinton is the woman, Sheryl Crow wanted to put in the white house, but it’s a rallying cry for her supporters none the less.
