Internet Cult Leader

No. It's not me. I am not the cult leader. I just have some exciting news. This week I was writing for the blog and I was so conflicted. I was like should this be under “Friday Favorites” or should I put this under “Media Monday”. And, I finally just said to myself that this is noteworthy.

Cassandra Jerome has started a YouTube channel and if your not on it. You need to be on it. It's pretty fucking amazing if we're being really honest and I've only seen the first video. Which is a Q&A by the way.

If I tried doing a Q&A there would be no questions. You my eight readers would be like, I hope one of the other seven asks a question. And, this is her first video. If that does not convince you of the star power behind this girl I don't know what will. She already had the following to launch a video and launch it with a Q&A.

Now, the crazy thing is that I actually know her in real life. I know it's hard to believe that a loser like me has ever been in the presence of someone who's this awesome. I don't know if you can say were friends. People are too loose with that word. If I've said hello to you two times we're not friends. We might be acquaintances if you want to stretch it.

She's my neighbors cousin. So, I see her like every two years and I'm probably never going to see her again considering the fact that my neighbor is moving to Washington DC. And, no I'm not crying. I have allergies in my eye. I'm a little bit heart broken.

Forewarning that her youtube channel is ten times better then mine. Her instagram is at least a million times more impressive then mine. Even, if it is all lips. I'm just fan girling from a hundred miles away and that's when you know that someone is a celebrity.

The one thing that you must be prepared for before you watch this video is her love for Fall Out Boy. Specifically, Pete Wentz. I think she wants to have his babies. Honestly, I was a little surprised when this came out so strongly in her video, although her tumblr should have put me onto this information.

Pete Wentz is 36 years old. Divorcee. Certainly not unattractive. Still it came to me as a surprise. I did not anticipate this as her type, but I only see her every two years. I can't say I can judge. I am also in love with a much older married man named Matt Bomer. We all have our vices.

Swearing was another thing that made me clutch at my pearls. It's not that I've never heard her swear before, I have. I just didn't expect it in her videos. I don't swear in mine, even though I do occasionally partake in real life and I was just like OMG. She's so cool.

I'm also a terrible person. She said in her video to never tell her “keep it classy San Diego” and then I tweeted it at her. I do not have a good enough relationship with her to do this. Please do not do what I did. After I did it, I was like please don't unfollow me. I think I love you.

I do not know who the fuck came up with his channel name. What does 'wickydkewl' even mean. This could very well have been explained at one point, but I am not a hardcore fan that way. I just found out about him recently. Actually, it was not quite recently at all. This was in November. The night of the American Music Awards. In between commercial breaks I was on tumblr, twitter, social media. I was super obnoxious as usual.

When, I am scrolling down tumblr and see this very attractive man. Of course I watch the video to find out that he is very gay. If you're a youtuber you either have to be a heterosexual female or gay. There go my plans to have children with this man.

By the way I'm talking about Davey Wavey. Is that his real name. That cannot be his real name. As you can tell I did not really do my research on him. I was however enraptured with his video and after Jennifer Lopez and Iggy stopped shaking on the AMA's, I got sucked into the dark hole of YouTube and slick watched his videos for an hour, before remembering I actually have to go school.

I definitely appreciate his videos or his pretty amazing pectorals. If that's what you call them. He also has very nice nipples. I for one am fine just watching the videos where he doesn't have his shirt on. That is basically every single video. I am so here for it.

He is definitely straight forward and to the point. He does not beat around the bush. I am also fairly sure he only thinks gay men watch his videos. Scrolling through the list of his videos you stumble upon “How to Measure Your Penis”, “Don't Give Handjobs” and a collaborative effort with Tyler Oakley “25 Ways To Know You're Gay”.

The first one is also not as bad as I expected. Yes, I watched it. I am a filthy whore, you know this, we are moving on. It was the funniest thing. Also, they don't actually measure anything. It basically is what the size your penis should be on the internet. It was insane. Side note that the guy with him is a porn star. I think. Like Davey Wavey didn't directly say it, but he has an inappropriate number of porn star friends. That is not normal. Where do you just randomly get porn star friends. At your local Starbucks? Honestly.

To be fair if you are into tattoos, this porn star is definitely attractive, and being the slut that I am, I am definitely here for it.

Also, everyone on tumblr who reblogs pictures of that person who I think is a porn star. I know your dirty secret, you filthy sluts. Keep on reblogging your shirtless men pictures, that you act like are supermodels when in fact they are porn stars. I have found your secret.

The video he did with Tyler Oakley is legit hysterical, but it's Tyler Oakley. Flawless, tie dye colored hair, God. I just kind of love Davey Wavey, because I feel like he's a more attractive, muscle bound, version of me if I was a youtuber.

Some of his videos do scare me and I have not watched them. “The Lube Challenge”. I do not think so. I do have some very low standards, but they are there.

I realize I am basic and you all probably already knew about this YouTube channel, but you also know me, and you know that I never know about these things. I just think he's pretty fantastic and attractive. The last one might really be the deciding factor. Also he did one of his first YouTube video, because he found his hot neighbor masturbating. Is that not something I would write about?

Nick Jonas's Body

I did buy Nick Jonas's album the moment it came out this month. I admit this. I also acknowledge that I bought it solely, because of his body and not really the quality of the music. However that does not change my opinion that it's a quality.

That is however not what we are talking about. We're actually discussing the reason he has that body.

Kingdom.

I think I mentioned it, possibly. You know I don't have cable and even if I did. I don't think anyone has this channel. It's on the Audience Network. I never even heard of this channel until this show came out. Now, I've finally seen the first episode. It's only been out for two months at this point. I'm really on top of it.

The basic concept is about this martial arts gym and it's family. Nick Jonas is the owners son and a fighter. That is why he is in such great shape. It's so he can play the role of an empowered boxer. Damn, he looks so good. Mind you I watched this show for his body, so I got what I wanted.

I just don't really care for the show or its premise. Mind you I am on episode one, but I'm not too interested in episode two. It's already got its cliches. None of which they seem to be playing off well.

You should know I am not opposed to violence, drugs, sex. The dirtier the better. Just bring it. This show, though. There is so much swearing for no reason. There was also a lot of nudity and not the good Magic Mike kind. I'm talking about Nick Jonas. Shirt off. Yes. Naked. No. As if I want to see this side hoe and his ugly brother naked. No, thank you Audience Network.

There is redemption, however. Nick's character is getting naked. That is worth watching for. His character is also supposed to be gay or bisexual.

Slay me now god.

This is pivotal information. However, the only man I see Nick getting it on with, I do not want to see Nick get it on with. Please, no. The thing with this show, is that it would show them having sex, and I don't want that. Really, I would be fine if the plot of the show centered with Nick just walking around shirtless talking about something irrelevant.

I am not watching this show for the plot. That's just some honesty. I guess I would watch it again, but the only reason I watched it in the first place was because I found a link for it on tumblr. I am not actively seeking episode two.

You also need to get a tumblr. Not just so you can follow me, but so amazing things like that will fall into your lap.

Also just to make it very clear. Do not watch Kingdom for quality entertainment. It is not that by any stretch of the imagination.

How Not To Conquer Twitter: A Guide

I just don't understand twitter. I feel comfortable saying that, because at this point you know me. I don't understand technology. For some reason I have firmly grasped the concept of tumblr, maybe not well, but I got this. Steadily growing in the followers occasionally posting something that gets twenty notes in an hour. You know doing good.

But, twitter. I just don't get it. I don't understand it at all. Anyone out there who is twitter famous. Go you. I bow down. Queen.

Me, over here it is not happening. I just don't comprehend social media. It's one reason this blog doesn't have a facebook. No one uses it anyway, and facebook informed me that my name isn't actually Bubbles Utonium. What a bold faced lie. Of course I'm Bubbles.

So, needless to say. That just didn't happen. I guess the reason I care about twitter is because it's such an outward reflection of like your position in social media. It clearly states how many you follow and how many follow you.

It is vain of me to want more twitter followers to let people know that people read my blog. Granted, I blog about myself and me and the things I like. So, this really shouldn't surprise any of you. I also want more twitter followers, then my former blogmates. Because, I'm a pathetic bitch. I accept this.

For a while there I just followed anyone and everyone I wanted on twitter, then I realized my follower count was 16, and me over here was following 91 celebrities.

One of my problems is that I don't follow back. If your twitter does not interest me I am not following you. I will not hunt people out, just so they will follow me. I'm sorry. There are a few people on twitter I have followed back. I'm just like you seem cool. Maybe a little basic, but your blonde, I'm blonde. We can get along.

Needless to say that ended. I made a hard 80 cuts from my twitter roster. It hurt me. It hurt the people I was closest to, but it had to happen. And magically that day I gained two followers.

I thought it was magical. I had finally done something right. This plateaued. Then, I started hashtagging like crazy, and that's where I am today. I use hashtags that don't make sense, and know I have 30 followers. Give or take the few on the fence followers.

People on twitter or so finicky. They will just unfollow you. These five Lady Gaga twitters unfollowed me when I mentioned my article on Madonna. It took less then an hour. I wanted to tell them to calm down. You can like Madonna and Gaga as I do. They are not on opposing sides of the world.

My newest scheme has been to post screenshots (because, I don't know how to embed) tweets on tumblr. I don't know how successful this is campaign is going, probably because I'm not a funny person naturally, but we shall see.

Someone actually did come for little old me on twitter, though. Yes. You better believe it I got in my first twitter feud. Only I didn't respond back directly.

Now, I decided to be the stronger person and tweet out my stance on Miss Azaelia Banks without confronting this person who needs to calm down.

Like honestly none of this surprises me. The reason Azaelia Banks isn't famous yet is because the woman is burning bridges she hasn't built yet. And, her fans are the same way. Calm yourself. If I responded to everyone who attacked Madonna. I would waste my day. Fact of the matter is Azaelia Banks is irrelevant. And, you know what. I like her music, I really do. But, her attitude needs to sashay away. I don't know if I would buy Broke With Expensive Taste when it finally comes out.

Buying an album means your invested in a brand, and I don't want to invest in this brand. The woman's talented, though. Can't deny that.

I hope this helped you avoid my pitfalls on social media. I'm sure you'll find your own. But, make it to the top. I'll be struggling through all of them until twitter is replaced with the newest social media.

Naked and Nerdy

I have been meaning to write about Cherie Cheezcake for the longest time. I am slick obsessed with her blog. I mentioned her briefly to you a few weeks ago when I did that Friday Favorites article on Coco Peru. You probably don't remember, it was such a passing moment. But, I've told you I am a horrible blogger. I do not read other blogs. I am very bad at this whole internet thing.

Needless to say it was bound to happen that I would discover another bloggers site that I would have to share with you. Look at her. Read this blog for the pictures. Every picture in this article is from her website. She's perfection. Look at this. I'm gagging

I just love her blog. I don't know what the posting schedule is. With me, you know I post three times a week. Sometimes six. My, god I don't know what came over me that week I did the Bubble Blitz. I have no idea. I just had so much to write about. Then, this week I'm writing and I have no idea what to do for Media Monday.

I already have my plans for Friday Favorites, but I have no idea what to do for today. You see I made up my mind a month or two ago that I would write in Cherie Cheezcake for a Friday Favorites. But, other things kept coming up. Then, I realized I can do a Media Monday on my second favorite burlesque dancer. Never forget the power of Dita Von Teese.

There is something so cute about Cherie. Her laugh is everything. It's so adorable. I just finished listening to her podcast with Carla Worth, and I am flooded with emotions of how good of friends I feel like we are. We mutually follow each other on twitter. So, I feel like we are great friends even if we don't really know each other, because we know each other's social media profiles.

Her podcasts are really what I'm obsessed with, though. They're dirty and funny. I love it. Her blog is great, but her podcast. Yassss, Gaga, YASSSSS. That is how I feel about her podcast.

The one I just listened to had such great insight, like drunk people love poptarts. That seems so obvious. But, it took Cherie Cheezcake and her cohort Carla Worth to point it out. Then, Cherie called her sister an 'awkward little panda'. That is love. I want to be called an awkward little panda.

She also runs the Blues City Burlesque, which as she said in her podcast is basically just her. I would go see the show. I would love it. Her day job is curling and dying peoples hair in a hair salon in a hotel. I don't know why that sounds so upper class and posh to me. It's basically the same thing as working at a McDonald's on the Upper East Side.

The job is no more glamorous. The location is just different.

I also appreciate how she spotlights other burlesque performers as well. It's so important to acknowledge the fact that there are other great people in the world. Amy Dobbins is someone I know about, because of Cherie Cheezcake. That's everything. Cherie Cheezcake is everything.

The Woman With The Pearls

Tragically, feminist icon Joan Rivers passed away last Thursday. I was heart broken. Not in the same way I was when Robin Williams killed himself over a month ago. There was time to prepare myself with Joan, but I was heart broken none the less. 81 just seems so young. I'm sure in the coming weeks we'll have more information on the causes of her death, but this Media Monday. I want us to reflect on a legend.

When, I heard of the news last Thursday, I said to myself, I'll have to dedicate a Throwback Thursday to her. Shift the one I was already writing up another three weeks and replace it with one of Joan. I decided, and I realized that this wasn't fair to her legacy.

With Robin Williams I wrote a whole new post for him. Spared no expense to make it beautiful. With Joan I was going to replace her article with something else. That seemed callous of her contributions. The way some people have been treating her death on certain social media is appalling. Many posts on Tumblr were insensitive and mocking. One showed a picture of Beyonce blowing out her birthday candles, the caption reading 'taking out Joan Rivers life supply'.

I don't know who thought that was in good taste. It wasn't. It wasn't particularly funny either. It is too soon. In a year, maybe even a few months from now, I can see that humor. But, not right now. There was no disrespect with the passing of Robin Williams anywhere, and it's possible that because Joan wasn't as integral to our childhood the way Robin Williams was that she wasn't given the same regard.

I could just be sensitive. Joan might have found it completely funny. Her humor was crass and bold at times. She always seemed to counter whatever she said with that string of pearls. “I'm still a lady.” As she swung them around. Her stand up was shocking. She mercilessly pointed out the flaws of herself, other celebrities.

It was entertainment. Much like Betty White, Joan has had a resurgeance as of late with spots on Celebrity Apprentice, Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best and Fashion Police. She even did a spot on Hot In Cleveland opposite Betty White as her twin sister.

It breaks my heart to remember her. I wasn't alive, then, but she was famously one of Johnny Carson's proteges, even co-hosting The Tonight Show. I have a deep seeded respect for Joan and what she did in her lifetime. She was the first female to head a talk show, similarly titled The Late Show.

Apparently she also had a line of jewelry for QVC, I found this out reading an article on NPR. Be shocked. Be amazed. NPR.

I read a few articles on her actually, and I fell in love with Joan all over again. She's such an easy woman to admire. Her ability to stand up to men, and to be a true nip and tucked force. I love Joan Rivers. Please love her and think about her if only for today. Do it in memory of a wonderful woman. Goodbye, Joan.
