Bonnie McKee hasn't finished making the final video for her visual EP Bombastic, but she took time out of her busy schedule to write a jingle for Quest Bar. It's more then a jingle. “Stud Muffin” is a pop smash that just happens to have some product placement ties. The song could easily have been written during the recording sessions for her as of the moment shelved second studio album. “Stud Muffin” bangs and coos with the help of Bonnie McKee. The video finds Bonnie McKee flitting back from her traditional 80s aesthetic to that of 50s Americana. Quest is the word and Bonnie McKee finds herself playing pop culture sweetheart Sandra Dee made famous by Olivia Newton-John. The video changes some sensory details. “The Pink Ladies” are “Blue Berries”, the video after all is sponsoring the Blueberry Quest Bar, but none the less it still finds are heroine flying into the sun after graduating Quest High. We have hot boys, expensive sports cars, and a perm job Bonnie McKee wouldn't be remiss from keeping.
The fact that the song comes at your heart is truly secondary.
