Hide The Cool Kids

After having an unintentional five day posting week planned out. I said why not. Here's a Friday Favorites. Its going to be brief and to the point and I hope your okay with that.

There is a lot of new music. But, there are two songs in particular I want to discuss.

Echosmith.

They are a sibling, group, band, thing, which is definitely a sigh, palm in the face moment. Another one? But, I'm obsessed with their song “Cool Kids”. Its everything. It's poignant. Or maybe it isn't. Maybe it's just that all teenagers can connect with “I wish I could be like the cool kids. Because, they seem to fit in.”

I knew someone who was imminently popular and she thought I was lying to her when I told her this. She thought I was lying. Stroking her ego. I don't know. “Cool Kids” resonates. I'm in love. I'm ready to invest in Echosmith once I have the money.

My other favorite is 'dance' song by Canadian (Another face palm) singer Kiesza. There's something slick about this song and it's beat. “Hideaway” is sort of on the radio. Just like “Cool Kids” is. I really hope if Kiesza makes it big that A) she teaches us how to pronounce her name and B) she doesn't fuck it up. I'm over Canadian singers.

But, I'm interested Kiesza in this sort of kind of club song.  So, bring it.
