| Men's fashion rarely “evolves”. It's consistently the same, except some seasons find the four buttons in over three. It's WILD. I always find the concept of a fashionable man to be over inflated. Fashionable men simply have to be well groomed and color coordinated. Panther's quarterback Cam Newton is not only one of the the highest paid in the league, but he's also renowned for his style on and off the field. A foxtail key chain? And some sequined shoes that ESPN noted for “having more sequins then a prom dress”. |  |
To me, Cam Newton is about as fashionably daring as Sam Hunt, but we have exceptionally low standards for men “breaking boundaries.” Cam certainly dresses more extravagantly then his teammates and some praise should be given for him extending his reach beyond off the rack.
As the trendsetter that he is, Cam Newton partnered with Belk to make his own fashion line MADE. There's too much gingham in it for me. I love a good Briggitte Bardot references as the next person, but it seems hardly revolutionary on men in the 21st century.
