I don’t think Jaden Smith is jaded. But, what does one really know about everyone’s favorite Smith child? He might not be the favorite, but he’s the one everybody’s talking about. Willow whipped her hair back and forth too long ago for us to remember.
Jaden Smith is the son of rapper, entertainer, fresh prince of Bel Air, Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett-Smith. He’s more well known for his nonsensical tweets, then for any true claim to fame, but that doesn’t stop him from being an important part of the pop culture landscape. |

The concept of being a jack of all trades, but a master of none is a concept that has to be familiar to him. We all remember his top ten entry besides Justin Bieber, back when Jaden Smith’s musical career was mainstream instead of Frank Ocean. That was also around the time that he had that wonderful afro. It was big, curly, and a tribute to Prince realness.
There was that time when he was featured in plenty of leading roles. Those days are gone now. I guess the world decided we didn’t need another Karate Kid installment. |

He also starred alongside his father in The Pursuit of Happyness. I’ve never seen the film, but it was a blockbuster success. The only thing that stands out to me about this film is that once at a Trivia night, we were asked to spell the film titles correctly. You might notice that “happiness” is misspelled. I apologize know for my vague understanding of the English language.

Jaden Smith has been the topic of multiple dating speculations. He was linked to one of the Jenner’s. I never cared that much, all I know is that it wasn’t Caitlyn. He’s only 17, so there’s time for him to find even more mature love. Especially as it seems that Kylie and 26 year old Tyga have little interest in separating.
Honestly, I just think Jaden Smith is pretty. I’ll be scrolling through my Instagram and I’m just like damn??????? I never saw this coming. |

I’ve also been living for his gender blurring. He’s been getting better at the dresses he’s picking out. I applauded him if questioned his fashion sense. He layered everything and it wasn’t cute, but now he’s older and wiser and he has a flower in his hair and a first love out of the way.

What he’s doing is important for the world as a whole. Men need to branch outside of their traditional boundaries. Celebrities have the influence to make things appear “normal”. The sooner we stop adhering ourselves to outdated gender roles the better. People should be able to wear whatever the fuck they want and I love that he does that so unapologetically in the spotlight.
The fact that he’s pretty is just a side benefit to his exploration into modern fashion. He’s young, wild, and free. And, who knows, we might even get a joint album from him and his father someday. It would be like what Lil Wayne and Birdman did only better |
