RuPaul's Drag Race has returned for an eighth season with the most dedicated cast yet. The queens that are blending in aren't finding the time to make it to another episode. Stand out queens include Kim Chi, Thorgy Thor, and Bob the Drag Queen. And, Acid Betty is pretty talented even if she is a bitch.
Despite all the good vibes of this season, I don't think it will ever top season 3. That's when I started watching Drag Race and it holds a special place in my heart. |

Two of my all time favorite drag superstars were crowned winner and runner up. Raja and Manila Luzon are destiny to be hold. There was also Carmen Carrera. She didn't make it as far as she should have. But, she was one of the elite queens known as the Heathers.

There were two sets of queens. The mean girls known as the Heathers and the other queens known as the boogers. The Heathers referenced the cult eighties classic of the same name. The popular girls who all had the same name. It had Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. And an inescapable quotes that you should put as your epitaph.

Carmen Carrera is one of the few trans women to appear on RuPaul's Drag Race. The show is generally backed by gay men, but there have been notable exceptions with Monica Beverly Hillz and Roxxxy Andrews.
Carmen Carrera is a beautiful woman. She's got that Puerto Rican and Peruvian ancestry. She's flat out gorgeous. She was on the show and she still is now. Over the past few years she's been using her reality platform to become an advocate for the trans community. |

With the rise in prominence of awareness of the trans community, there has also been a backlash in the rise in anti-trans violence as well as anti-trans legislation. North Carolina and Mississippi both passed laws that targeted the trans community as well as other members of the LGBT community. It's so wonderful to see America not being bigoted.

Tennessee on April 5th also brought forth a bill that specifically targeted the trans community that dealt with bathroom rights. The goal of the bill was to force trans students in elementary, middle, and high school to use bathrooms according to what was stated on their birth certificate instead of their actual gender identity.
Carmen Carrera is just one of the trans celebrities that is helping to raise awareness about these issues and the discrimination that the conservative part of the United States government is trying to pass. |

I live for this woman. She's fantastic. She was great and catty on Drag Race. There's nothing I don't love about her. That instagram is popping.
I'm glad she finally married Adrian Torres. They were together forever and then they said they were not going to be together. They're cute together and I'm rooting for their love. I want it to last forever and ever. I will always stan for Carmen Carrera. |
