| It has arrived. The new Hilary Duff music video for second single “All About You”. I'm so happy, I could die. It's been a hard six yeiars since the release of her last studio album. And, no matter how good Dignity was there's only so many times I can play that over and over before there's a craving for new Hilary Duff music. |  |
Now, “Chasing The Sun” was cute. And, I'm glad we got a video for it. I like the song. I don't like it as the lead single for this new record. It's not how I want non-fans to be introduced. “All About You” is an improvement. “Chasing The Sun” was good, but it wasn't written by Hilary. It was a leftover from Colbie Caillait's sessions for her two EP's she's been working on. It didn't accurately represent the direction she was pioneering for herself.

The video continues that fun, upbeat, classy theme that's pervading her music. She's sexy, but not slutty. Her back up dancers do most of the hard work.
The basic plot is that Hilary is in a diner. She sees an attractive, handsome man. She takes a picture of him with (insert product placement) of an Amazon phone. I didn't know they made phones. That's kind of cool.
She does not however approach him. After he leaves she notices that he left a vinyl (?) titled Hit Harder (The symbolism is lost on me). There is a necessary dance sequence with her girls at a dance studio where they proceed to search the city for him in a gold Mercedes. How they manage to find this man. I do not know. But, of course they do and Hilary returns the vinyl. They hit it off. Probably go on a first date.

But, we all know this will not end in marriage. Eventually he's going to realize she tracked him down and Hilary's cute. But, that's a level of crazy you don't put up for anything less then Gisele Bündchen.
