"Cunegonde did not know she had grown ugly, for nobody had told her."
No one can tell me that Cars is not a golden choice for a Throwback Thursday
So, over my fall break I attempted to write a short story for you. I knew I was going to be doing the 12 Days of Bubbles as my kind of Christmas present to you and I thought for Surprise Sunday I would do a short story. It went horribly wrong. It was very bad, and so I called my cousin. I asked her if she would be willing to write a short story for the blog. She already writes fiction in her spare time. She agreed after I e-mailed her my short story to read. She refrained from telling me how bad it was, which was sweet of her. She finished this short story over Thanksgiving and I am obsessed with it. I am basically the target audience at this point. Jamie slayed it and I'm not just saying that because she's my cousin and she's the shit. It's so much better then what I wrote. The basic premise of this short story is that it is set in the 1930's and a string of pearls are stolen. It is a noir detective story. It is also long, so get yourself a cup of coffee and be prepared to read. The main detective is one I have met before and I am just obsessed. I am literally fangirling over this. I love this story. At this point it's not even for you, it's for me. The second and final part will be posted next Sunday, so feel free to ask any questions so you can figure out who stole the pearls.
Just in case you were wondering why The Mindy Project is the subject of Friday Favorites.
Jennifer Lopez had to be written about for Media Monday. Viral is one way to describe how the music video for "Booty" has gone. People jumped on making gifs for it. I was on tumblr as I always am, when this whore posts a gif with the hashtag "can't she stay gone". I unfollowed her immediately. I've only unfollowed two people on tumblr. One was constantly posting statuses of "I'm bored" and I was over it. While, the other one just posted one to many nudes in one day. Now Africant has been added to the list of JLo haters. Bye.
Size zero at Banana Republic. The blog changes name, but I never do.
